Common Prayer [Wandering Poet Version]

about

My third work for Jeremy Clarke is a long and floating ambient piece of around 24mins, in combination with my music the longest track ever to date.

The track was assembled with three different layers of sound, I imported the source material of my two previous remixes for Jeremy and brought them together to a new form of audio experience, so that something sounds familiar with the previous songs. The third layer was filled up with Jeremy's words and with discreet synth sounds for a harmonizing balance.

Common Prayer is a dialogue between two opposing voices: an abseiling window cleaner and a pavement layer, as they progress through their working day. The voices are heard in paused pairs - the window cleaner always first, with the pavement layer in reply. The whole piece is 6 such pairs.

This piece is also available from jeremyclarke.bandcamp.com.
